St. -janskerk(Church of St. John)

Interesting
The magnificent stained glass windows (16-17 C) of the Church of St. John are worthy of renown. Founded in the 13 C, the church was rebuilt after fires (1361, 1438 and 1552) and enlarged each time: this is the longest church in the country (123 m). The aisles of this basilica are typical late Gothic and topped with wooden barrel vaults. The very sober interior is extremely luminous, with large stained glass windows set into the numerous pointed gables surrounding the church.
