Old City Hall (Oude Raadhuis)

This small building retains a pleasing 16th Century facade with a stepped gable. The 18th Century lateral wall is elegantly decorated and has a thought-provoking Latin inscription Ne Jupiter Quidem Omnibus (Even Jupiter cannot satisfy everyone). Two statues representing Justice and Prudence stand high over the central part of the building and there is another Latin warning: "He who follows another's example is made weak".
