Bunschoten The Essential
Bunschoten forms a single conurbation with Spakenburg , a port on the Eemmeer lake where they fish for eels. The two towns stretch along a road more than 2 km long which splits to the north to form the quays of a canal. This then widens out into a basin where old boats typical of the old Zuiderzee occasionally come to moor. These two places are most famous for their very traditional way of life. Look out especially for the costumes worn by some of the women.
