Former town hall of Veere - Stadhuismuseum De Vierschaar

Interesting
This charming little Gothic building with two storeys was begun in 1474. The bays on the first floor are separated by recesses topped by canopies; these contain the statues of four lords and three ladies from Veere. Octagonal turrets flank the roof, and the belfry from 1599 has an onion-dome. The carillon has 48 bells. The audience room (Vierschaar) is one of the oldest in the country.
