Abbey churches of Middleburg

Three churches can be seen to the south of the abbey. The Koorkerk, known as the choral church, boasts a 14C nave and 15C organ chest whose case was renewed in the 16C; the 16C Nieuwe Kerk hosts organ recitals in summer; and between the two stands the Wandelkerk, against which stands the Lange Jan tower (85m). This is an octagonal stone construction from the 14C, crowned by a small 18C onion dome.
