Å i Lofoten The Essential
This fishing village located at the tip of Moskenesøya is one of the most picturesque on the Lofoten Islands, as its typical features are well preserved. Beneath the flocks of seagulls attracted by the cod drying on the racks, rorbuer - traditional huts painted red and built on stilts - encircle the tiny port, adding a splash of colour to the gloomy landscape which is dominated by the dark blue mountain peaks. Be sure to see the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum and the Stockfish Museum (tastings included!).
