Kopiec Kosciuszki

Recommended
This cone-shaped mound was raised in 1820 in honour of Tadeusz Kosciuszko (1746-1817), a national hero. He served in the American War of Independence, fought in his homeland against the Russians and the Prussians, before dying in exile in Switzerland. The winding path to the top leads to a magnificent panoramic view over the River Vistula, Wawel Hill and the Church of Our Lady.
