The Amoreiras

The district is dominated by the high Amoreiras buildings and the Free Water Aqueduct. The district's name comes from the mulberry trees which were grown here to feed the silkworms used at the silk factory, now home to the Arpad Szenes-Vieira da Silva Foundation.
