Curtea de Arges The Essential
Interesting
This little town was as its name suggests the seat of a Royal court in the 14C. From this golden age it retains fine churches (episcopal church and church of St Nicholas) which alone merit a visit here. Curtea de Arges is also gateway to the Carpathians, which can be explored along spectacular roads like the Transfagarasan or the Rucar-Bran route.
