Council Hall

In bygone days, the alarm was raised from the building's bell tower when the city was under threat. Seat of the guilds and later the town hall, the council hall today houses the regional history museum. In this fine 14C building blending Venetian Gothic and Baroque styles, the great moments of the town are reflected, notably the life of Johannes Honterus, alderman of Brasov, who in the 16C founded one of Romania's first printing presses.
