Church of the Three Hierarchs

Recommended
The three hierarchs, Basil the Great, John Chrysostom and Gregory of Nazianzus (also called the Theologian), to whom the church is dedicated, are the focus of a major feast on 30 January. Formerly covered in gold, silver and lapis lazuli, the church is veritable lacework of oriental-inspired stonework incorporating no less than 30 different friezes. Inside, there are fragmentary vestiges of its frescoes (the church has suffered from several fires and earthquakes).
