History Museum

Named after its original owner, Judge Altemberger, this building blending Gothic and Baroque styles was seat of Sibiu's town hall from 1550 to 1947. Today it houses the history museum, with collections largely sourced from the Brukenthal museum tracing the history of southern Transylvania: medieval and Roman lapidarium (1C-3C BC), 16C-17C arms and armour, objects, medals and liturgical items.
