Tower of the Council

Interesting
At the top of seven flights of stairs comprising 141 steps, there is a splendid view of the upper town. This white tower formed part of the second perimeter walls (1224-1241) and has come to symbolise the town. It was rebuilt several times and served successively as a granary, watch tower and museum. Inside, note the clock mechanism.
