Alhama de Granada The Essential
Interesting
Suspended above an impressive gorge, Alhama is one of Andalucía's most beautiful villages. Its romantic setting has inspired poets and travellers throughout the ages and its whitewashed houses and alleyways are teeming with history. The Moors called it Al-Hamma, or hot spring, because of its thermal springs, and it was so famous that Christians spent vast sums of money to take the waters here during the Reconquest.
