Charles V's palace

Recommended
Charles V had this palace built in 1526. Pedro Machuca, a pupil of Michelangelo, created a work of pure classicism, where the simplicity of the design and the harmony of its lines endow it with a majestic beauty. The circular courtyard, one of the successes of Renaissance architecture in Spain and impressive both for its majestic appearance and classical lines, hosts concerts as part of the music and dance festival. The palace houses the Museum of the Alhambra and the Fine Art Museum.
