Alcalá de Guadaíra
Alcalá de Guadaíra The Essential
The whitewashed town of Alcalá dominates the plain 20km east of Seville, before the River Guadaira loops southwards. At the top of the town, note the remains of a castle dating from the Almohad era (the Berber dynasty that reigned over Muslim Andalucía until the 13C), with a hermitage at its centre.
