Parc de María Luisa

Interesting
The Infanta María Luisa, Duchess of Montpensier, gave the municipality this park, which is a favourite place for all the people of Seville. It was one of the gardens of the San Telmo Palace. Jean Claude Nicolas Forestier (1861-1939) altered it for the 1929 Ibero-American Exhibition. This wonderful, romantic garden with diverse plant life is embellished with basins, arbours and gazebos. The buildings constructed for the Exhibition add further interest. Head down the little lanes and footpaths and you will discover the interior of the park, which alternates between free-growing vegetation and formally laid out gardens.
