Monographic Museum of Puig des Molins

Interesting
The Puig des Molins necropolis was used as a burial place by the Phoenicians from the 7C BC, then by the Romans until the 1C. More than 3 000 underground burial vaults were discovered in the hillside, funeral chambers which were reached through a well, were discovered here. Furniture that accompanied the deceased, both everyday utensils and ritual elements symbolising resurrection, is exhibited in the Monographic Museum. Note the bust of the goddess Tanith (5C BC).
