This small village stands at the mouth of the Deba, and has the same name as its river, which boasts a lovely family-friendly beach, ideal for surfing. Beneath the porch of the fortified façade of the church of Santa María la Real, note the fine Gothic doorway decorated with extremely lifelike statues. The cloisters are embellished with intricate arcades.
