Monument Colomb

This monument built in 1886 by Gaietà Buïgas, commemorates the welcome that the catholics gave to hour Christopher Columbus on his return from his first voyage to America A great column surmounted stone base supports the statue of the Genoan navigateur. When it was built this statue was a symbol of progress, due to the fact it was made of iron. The great respect which the people of of the town has given this monument.
