Tortosa The Essential
Interesting
Tortosa is a peaceful agricultural town on either side of the Ebro, a vital river for its population over the centuries. The Suda, an ancient Moorish castle that is now a parador, stands at the highest point of the town, where the Roman acropolis probably stood, and commands a superb view of the town and its surroundings. Tortosa is known for its pastries, in particular pastissets and arrofetes del Papa.
