Museo del Prado

Highly recommended
The Prado is one of the world's major classical art galleries. The core of the collection is made up of holdings of Spanish art acquired by the kings of the Austrian and Bourbon houses, with masterpieces by El Greco and Velázquez. The museum also contains an exceptional collection of Flemish art, put together by Catholic kings, and many works by Italian artists, of whom Charles V and Felipe II were particularly fond.
