Santa María Church

Construction of the co-cathedral Santa Maria began in the 15C and finished in the 16C. Inside the church, three Gothic aisles of almost equal height feature ornate ribbed vaults enhanced by slim columns and pillars. Look out for the beautiful sculpted altarpiece on the main altar that is not highlighted. To the left of the church when leaving, Carvajal Palace has a 15C tower.
