Torres del Río Church of the Holy Sepulchre
The unusual Romanesque building, tall and octagonal in plan, was built on the Pilgrim Route to Santiago de Compostela in about 1200. Its resemblance to the chapel in Eunate (further east) has given rise to speculation that it, too, is a funerary chapel. Inside, the magnificent Mudéjar-inspired (Moorish), star-shaped cupola is geometrical perfection.
