Ría de Vigo
The last ría before the Portuguese border, it is remarkably sheltered and protected by the Islas Cíes. The landscape is at its most beautiful by Domaio, where the steep, wooded banks draw together and the narrow channel is covered in mussel beds. Vigo, Spain's leading fishing port, is just one of its many harbours. From Cangas and Moaña, you can see the white town of Vigo covering the entire hillside on the opposite shore.
