Le Locle The Essential
This small town, huddled at the end of a valley and linked to the neighbouring Franche-Comté by the Col-des-Roches pass, owes its prosperity to clockmaking. This began in the 18C, when a young goldsmith called Daniel Jean-Richard came to live in the area.
