Leukerbad The Essential
Interesting
The high-altitude mountain spa town of Leukerbad, whose sulphur and gypsum-filled waters are used to treat various ailments, already featured on the itinerary of hikers holidaying in the region in the 19C. This spot marks the end of the famous Gemmi Pass (2 314m above sea level), which starts in the Bernese Oberland and ends here in a vertiginous path carved into the side of the rock.
