Sierre The Essential
Deep in the Rhone valley at the foot of the (Noble Contrée( wine-producing region and at the start of the Anniviers valley, Sierre (Siders) is Switzerland's sunniest town. It also marks the linguistic border between French and German. Several fortified residences, such as Les Vidommes castle or Goubin tower, recall Valis' medieval period and when it was governed by bishops.
