St Bartholomew's

Interesting
Of Brighton's many Victorian churches, this large edifice (1872-1874) is outstanding. The sublime simplicity of the patterned brick walls supporting a nave 41 m high contrasts with the rich interior decoration (Lady Altar, main altarpiece, giant candlesticks) and the masterpieces of the decorative Arts and Crafts movement of the last century.
