Trengwainton Garden

Recommended
The path (800 m) leading to the house is lined with gardens. Behind a fine view over the bay where azalea and rhododendrons flower. Sir Edward Bolitho and the owners of Trewithen and Hidcote (Gloucestershire) financed expeditions from 1927-28 of Frank Kingdon-Ward, whose intention was to assemble and bring back plants from Borneo, China and Assam. The azaleas and rhododendrons were replanted and hybrids created.
