Tate St Ives

Recommended
This magnificent building (1993) enjoying a lovely view over the sandy beach of Porthmeor was designed by Eldred Evans and David Shaley. The asymmetrically shaped art gallery rises in harmonious spirals, offering a functional and light space in which to present its temporary exhibitions of contemporary works from London's Tate Modern. These exhibitions are mainly devoted to artists from St Ives, in particular Patrick Heron.
