Abbot Hall Art Gallery and Museum of Lakeland Life
Abbot Hall, an 18C country house, is now occupied by an art gallery with a permanent exhibition of paintings by portraitist George Romney (1734-1802), as well as temporary exhibitions. Another section is dedicated to the writer Arthur Ransome.
