Dartington Hall

Dartington was founded in 1925 by educationalists Leonard (1893-1974) and Dorothy Elmhirst (1887-1968) who encouraged talent and individual responsibility through progressive education and a reassessment of the rural economy. Despite the closure of the school in 1987, the Dartington Hall Trust continues to offer a varied cultural programme.
