Dartmouth The Essential
Recommended
It would be hard not to be charmed by this little town on the banks of the Dart estuary. A tiny port surrounded by elegant buildings, paved lanes bordered by white houses with flowers, a coastal path, exuberant greenery and a large marina all contribute to the appeal of Dartmouth, protected from seaborne assault by its proud fortress which stands on a spur overlooking the water.
