St Stephen Walbrook

Dedicated to St Stephen this Church also bears the name of the stream that used to run through this area. Since 1953 it has housed the Brotherhood of the Samaritans who help the needy. St Stephen's is an audacious creation (1672-1677) by Wren with verdigris Dome. On the west side, the square bare stone tower is topped with an elegant balustrade. The Belfry also square in Portland stone, was added in 1717
