Theatre Royal

Interesting
The present building, constructed in 1821 by Nash stands on the Haymarket with a solemn portico facade. The interior is majestically and elegantly decorated having been refitted in 1974. It was in this theatre that the popular English song Home, sweet home was first sung in 1823. It used to put on mainly operas and ballets.
