Merseyside Maritime Museum

Interesting
Liverpool's maritime past is presented via a series of exhibitions on the history of shipbuilding, the development of the port, and navigation, as well as a display of paintings and models. The most moving part of the exhibition is the section devoted to the 9 million emigrants who passed through Liverpool between 1830 and 1930 on their way to the New World. Inside the building, two other museums are dedicated to slavery and the fight against smuggling.
