Church Street

Many of the buildings along Church Street belonged to the priory founded in 1090 and dissolved in 1539; the Nunnery and Priest's House (restored in the 19C) date from the 14C. Beyond the gate in the priory garden is a 6 m-high, early medieval dovecote.
