Ruskin Gallery

The Ruskin Gallery displays the permanent collection of the St George association, a society created by the art critic, essayist and poet John Ruskin (1819-1900) to provide him with visual inspiration. Visitors are invited to study "beauty, such as the flowering of a divine soul inhabiting nature, and the heroism of human life" and to admire the talent of a team of "copyists of colour" who brought works of art and famous monuments to the masses.
