Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum

The famous writer, poet and lexicographer Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) was born in this house built by his father. The exhibition recalls his life and work from his childhood to his marriage, his débuts in London and his friendships, in particular with Erasmus Darwin.
