Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum

Samuel Johnson (1709-1784), the famous writer, poet and lexicographer, was born in this house, built by his father. The exhibition shows the life and work of Samuel Johnson, from his childhood to his marriage, his début in London and his friendship with James Boswell.
