Coventry Transport Museum

Interesting
Coventry was the birthplace of the British car industry (Daimler in 1896). Over 100 car-makers built factories here over the years, including Daimler, Rover, Riley, Lea & Francis, Hillman and Triumph. This transport museum showcases the growth and decline of this industry. The oldest models on display (a 1908 Riley and 1922 Morris) are attractively presented in an authentic street scene, although the very latest in technology is also on show here.
