St John's Church

Recommended
This imposing Romanesque parish church has a mighty, oblong crossing tower. Inside, the eastern end is decorated with interlaced arches with zigzagging herringbone mouldings that contrast with the tortoiseshell corner pieces. The side chapels are separated from the sanctuary by stone rood-screens and have fine coffered ceilings supported by sculpted crows.
