Rievaulx Terrace

The natural terrace was arranged in a country style that was in fashion in the 18C to become a long grassy terrace with views over the ruins of Rievaulx Monastery and a part of the Rye. To the south, there is the circular temple in a Tuscan style and to the north, an ionic temple, once used to take refreshments.
