Glenrothes The Essential
Glenrothes is one of the five new towns created in Scotland after the Second World War. Originally conceived for the important local coal mining sector, the town today benefits from facilities like the Rothes Halls leisure complex and the Kingdom Centre, one of the country's biggest shopping centres. A whole range of outdoor works of art, mostly by local modern artists, brighten up the urban landscape.
