Lower City Mills

This fine old industrial complex straddles the Town Lade, a 6 km-canal which carried water from a Tay tributary. The Upper City Mills have been successfully redeveloped and are now a hotel. The Lower Mills are a museum with machinery from the Victorian era in working order. A miller guide will explain how the oats were produced that were used to make the porridge fed to prisoners of the English.
