Swansea/Abertawe The Essential
Interesting
Swansea is a bustling southwest Wales urban hub and the country's second city after Cardiff, as well as a commercial and pleasure port. Three centuries of industrial activity in the lower Swansea Valley created one of Britain's most spectacularly derelict landscapes. Since the late 1960s, a painstaking regeneration programme has resulted in the creation of parks, small business units, shopping centres and other retail outlets, with few traces left of the area's industrial past.
