Wellbrook Beetling Mill

The first mill in Wellbrook, intended for pounding linen (last stage in production), was operational in September 1767. There were six mills and this one, carrying the number six, dates back to around 1830. It was in operation until 1961 and the National Trust has kept it in working order.
