The Great Church

Recommended
Royal marriages and coronations are celebrated in this late Gothic building, enlarged in the 15 C and transformed in the 18 C, when a lantern tower (1740) and new baroque façade were added, to blend in with the Royal Palace. It was the only parish church of the medieval town. Brick pillars divide the imposing interior into five aisles. The decoration is baroque. A 15 C Saint Georges slaying the Dragon is the main attraction.
