Stanley Park

Highly recommended
One of North America's best city parks. City residents are not only justifiably proud of their famous park, they use it avidly-and visitors are just as fond of the park's attractions. It's big (405ha/1,000 acres), beautiful, accessible and uncrowded. A visit to Stanley Park can be as simple as a 20-minute stroll along the seawall path. Or it can be as elaborate as an interactive sea-mammal experience at the Vancouver Aquarium followed by a walk through deep forests to an elegant dinner at a restaurant overlooking the Strait of Georgia. Stanley Park has wildlife, woods, sandy beaches, children's play areas, statues and totems, gardens and pools. Film crews use the park as a stand-in for woods worldwide.
