Fredericton The Essential
Recommended
Dotted with historic buildings and landscaped gardens, downtown Fredericton overlooks the Saint John River. The administrative seat of the province, the city is also a cultural hub, largely thanks to the generosity of Lord Beaverbrook (1879-1964). Economically diverse today, information technology continues to feature prominently, but industry, retailing and tourism also play a large part in the city's development.
